Custom Tubing Supports & Valve Support Blocks

The custom tubing and valve support blocks shown here were initially designed and fabricated to accommodate the distribution lines of a high purity gas delivery system, such that much of the tubing and final valving could be mounted directly to the benchwork where the equipment supported by these lines would be installed. Although the equipment benches that these components were mounted to were also custom items provided by New Paradigm Industries, Innovative Solutions Inc., these items can still be very easily used with existing benchwork as well as benchwork from other suppliers, as long as the gage of material used in the construction of the given benchwork is sufficient for mechanical fastening. Tubing Support Blocks These tubing support blocks were specifically designed to provide a 100% reliable method of mounting the ¼” tubing associated with the distribution lines to the underside of the equipment benchwork frames. The blocks themselves are machined from a solid piece of phenolic resin which provides fantastic lab suitability due to its high chemical resistance across the spectrum, outperforming all metal alternatives. Phenolic resin is also a great candidate for bio-safety applications as it is non-porous and can be safely cleaned to the appropriate standards. Although these blocks were fabricated to accommodate two ¼” lines for this application, custom line sizing and hole quantities can be provided throughout a wide range. Valve Support Blocks These valve support blocks were custom designed to provide “rock solid” support as to protect the associated tubing connected to them, as well as the valves themselves in tight service areas where the potential for physical contact is high. The two piece phenolic resin construction of these support blocks clamps the associated valves firmly in place, and the two 5/16” mounting bolt holes ensure the entire block is securely fastened. Designed to work with a 1” drip edge, the complete assembly protrudes no more than 1  1/2” from the work surface.
